This is my fave piece of art, called Weeping. It was made by Dutch artist Jose Botterhuis for an exhibition in Hummelo, a yearly event `kunstwandelroute`. A great mixture of art and nature!
The three crying eyes are watching the deforestation of our planet and was inspired by the Weeping Woman in Tofino, Canada.
The paper is an oldie by Kaisercraft, Jade´s Garden. I used a diecut paper to cut the outline, then wetted the edges with water to curl them up. I am not certain if the background sheet is from Kaisercraft as wel, but the colors match perfectly!
The flowers are plain brown Prima Flowers which I edged with TH cinnamom stickles. I found the small animals in a very old childrens book. Scanned, printed on thick paper en heat embossed them with clear powder.
The chippie is a Buzz and Bloom florish which I heat embossed using this technique using different colors and types of embossingpowders. It is in Dutch but the photo´s speak for itself. The title is the original title of this artwork. I made it with cork squares which I handpunched, inked and completed with alphabet stickers.
Verder heb ik niks meegemaakt...
