YESSSSSS & LGS #8

Chantal mij heeft gevraagd om het creatieve team van Scrapfever te komen versterken! Natuurlijk ben ik apetrots dat ik me bij de andere meiden van het Design Team mag aansluiten.  Dit blinkie mag ik van nu af aan onder mijn naam zetten. En ook mag ik voortaan onbeperkt scrappen. Het is nu immers `werk´ hahaha!!!!

I am so proud that Chantal has asked met to join the creative team at Scrapfever! I may use this blinkie from now on and have all the excuses to be scrapping all the time. Since it is ´work´ now hahaha!!


Dan Let´s get shabby challenge nummer 8. Het thema is Valentijn. Met het papier uit de Scrapfever scrapkit, Little Yellow Bicycle (Sweet Love) en als achtergrondvel MME breaking free (ofzoiets). Het gipsen vogeltje heb ik zelf gegoten, met dank aan Jacqueline voor de mooie stap voor stap uitleg! Verder lekker los gegaan met blommetjes, stof, kantje en blaadjeslint. 

Here´s my take on Let´s get shabby challenge 8. Valentinesday is the theme. I used Little Yellow Bicycle papers and MME breaking free. Furthermore fabric, ribbons, lace and all kinds of flowers. Notice the little bird, I made it myself using clearstamps and plaster...

Tot slot nog een Valentijnslayout, heel basic dit keer maar ik vind dit plaatje zo prachtig! Het achtergrondvel is van Basic Grey, marakech. Het kantje op het tabblad heeft mijn mams gehaakt en verder heb ik voornamelijk distress inkt gebruikt en allerlei stempels. Het vogeltje heb ik ook weer zelf gemaakt met gips.

Made another Valentine´s layout, very basic but I fell in love with this picture. Backgroundpaper is Basic Grey marakech, crocheting was my mothers work and I used mainly stamps and distress ink to decorate the papers. I made the bird using the same technique as above..

Niet storen / Do not disturb!

Jacky is dit jaar naar de brugklas gegaan en heeft haar eerste proefwerkweek. Op haar kamerdeur hangt een groot vel met "niet storen, ik moet leren". Het feit dat ze naar de brugklas ging is mijn thema voor de wedstrijd deze maand bij Scrapfever.  Ik heb gewerkt naar aanleiding van de sketchy sunday sketch op het SA forum vandaag.
Jacky is in her first year of the secondary school and has a whole week ahead of preliminary examinations. On her door there´s a sign: Please do not disturb! I am studying! I thought it would make a great theme for this months Scrapfever contest.

De opdracht is: scrap jouw moment van 2009 en laat je inspireren door de volgende foto:

Materiaal: Craft cardstock, taartrandje, het ronde vel is wit glad cardstock dat ik heb bewerkt met distressinkt en water. Verder muziekpapier, wat restjes K&Company en BG papier, swirls, bloemen, blaadjes en espresso inkt.

Memory box

En weer hoop ik iemand blij te maken met een gealterd theedoosje waar ze herinneringen aan de babytijd van haar dochter kan bewaren.... Gelukkig zat er een foto op het geboortekaartje, dus die heb ik gebruikt achter het glazen deksel. De kist en de keine doosjes zijn beplakt met SEI Chocolat papier. Versierd met wat tule, een vintagplaatje en bloemetjes. De hoekornamentjes kreeg ik een keer van Marjolijn, heeft ze zelf gemaakt mooi hè! De rand is gestempeld met een muziekstempel van Prima en adirondak espresso inkt. Binnenin wat stempeltjes met goedbedoelde raad :). Verder zitten er doosjes in om haarlokje en tandjes in te bewaren en een tasje om haar eerste sieraadjes in te bewaren. In het andere kan dan nog een andere herinnering, speentje, sokjes o.i.d. En oh ja, voor wie zich afvraagt hoe ik aan die mini bingokaartjes kom...die heb ik gewoon uit de verpakking van het origineel geknipt!


I made another baby keepsakes box. Materials used are SEI Paper, Chocolat. Tulle, a vintagepicture, lace and flowers. Luckily there was a photo on the Stamps from Prima (music) and Inkado (words inside), Adirondak Espresso Ink. Also decorated some tiny boxes to save tooth, lock of hair and jewelry. Hope you enjoy it! The card included a beautiful photo of the young lady, so I put that behind the glass lid. The mini bingocards were just cut from the packing material of the big ones.

Winteralbum

Afgelopen zaterdag heb ik eindelijk deze fantastische workshop kunnen volgen bij Scraps in Nieuwerbrug: een album met kijkdoosje. Anneke Vos is de bedenker van dit gave project. Dit keer was de winterversie aan de beurt maar eerder al werd de workshop gegeven met een strandversie en een herfstversie.
Het album heb ik gevuld met wat mooie winterplaatjes van de afgelopen jaren.
Tja wat kan ik er verder over vertellen, ik ben er supertrots op en de foto´s spreken voor zich denk ik....

Made this album at a fantastic workshop last weekend using some lovely winterpics over the last couple of years. It was a lot of work to make it, and I am really proud of this album ....

Reflection

Selfportrait of Jacky that she made through the mirror. I edited the photo with picnik.com to create the effect it has now. Papers used are cardstock, BG (brown) and Creamotion oriental. Prima flowers and vine, lace and the pink net was packing material. 7-Gypsies metal spine including several charms and bird pictures from the internet printed on kraft cardstock as well as the title.
I am not all that happy with the photograph of the layout since it was made in the evening. Didn't want to wait till tuesday however to place it on my blog.

Pippi Langkous waterval boekje

Er is een nieuwe uitdaging dus nu kan ik het hele pippiboekje laten zien. Uitdaging 24 bij dare to use color was oranje met groen. Het album is gemaakt volgens de watervaltechniek, wat inhoudt dat je aan de onderste bladzijde trekt waardoor de bladzijden als vanzelf openwaaieren.

High Heels

Yesterday I made this layout with Websters Pages "postcards from Paris" and a small piece of newspapersheet by K&C. The flowerborder at the bottom was cut out of a vellum sheet. Made a tag with a grommet and pieces of the vellum and the newspaper sheets.
Journalling on the tag says that Jacky is all dressed up for a christmas party at her school. She bought the High Heels just that afternoon together with a friend, it was a real bargain since the 2nd pair was only € 1,-.
But the people in the store forgot to remove the alarm. You can imagine the teenage-panic before she finally got to the party :)

Merry Christmas!!

I really had fun making this christmaslayout with, again, the beautiful G45 papers. The tree was inspired by Toni and created using a lot of leaf-punches, dear old Silhouette cut out the deer and the wooden fence is made of tapas-forks. Added a few roses, gems,  a leafribbon and a wooden star and some fake snow to complete it. The vintage image is from Heidi's blog. I picked it becaues of the four-leaf clover,  I have some dried ones at home and wanted to use at first. The shaped paper was also home-made and  the edges are decorated with liquid applique.

Update march 2010: I won Maries december challenge at artistic document with this layout!!

Candy Kisses

The 23rd challenge at Dare to use color had to be an all purple and grey project. Made this layout of my daughter Jacky while she was enjoying her candy floss in Disneyland, Paris. I edited the photograph, so that the candy floss is pink and the flowers behind her are purple again. The rest is all black&white. Used purple cardstock, dark purple Basic Grey and some grey design paper. Furhtermore a lot of flowers. The plain grey chipboardletters are stamped with a textstamp and after that layered with clear embossing powders. The big S is decorated with look-a-like sugar... Unfortunately I did not win the challenge, but who cares, I have another great layout for my collection!

Christmas project LGS #6

Let's Get Shabby challenge no 6 is all about Christmas. Usually not my kind of thing but I enjoyed making this item. A wooden starshaped tray,  which I painted white and decorated with G45 papers and all kinds of ribbons and christmas embellishments.  And doesn't this fake snow look real or what?
